In accordance with Minute No. 2 of the National Commission of Minimum Wage from August 18, 2016, new minimum wages shall be applied from September 1st, 2016 to February 28, 2017, as follows:
- Agriculture: increase of 4.5%, minimum monthly wage: 3,489.74 cordobas (*)
- Fishing: increase of 4.5%, minimum monthly wage: 5,292.57 cordobas
- Mining and quarrying: increase of 4.5%, minimum monthly wage: 6,251.25 cordobas
- Manufacturing Industry: increase of 4.5%, minimum monthly wage: 4,680.24 cordobas
- Micro and Small Cottage and Touristic Industry: increase of 4.0%, minimum monthly wage: 3,739.87 cordobas
- Industries subject to Tax Regime: increase of 0%, minimum monthly wage: 4,671.01 cordobas (**).
- Electricity and Water, Trade, Restaurants, Hotels, Transport sector, warehousing And Communications: increase of 4.0%, minimum monthly wage: 6,384.37 cordobas
