LAW No. 1192 LAW FOR THE CERTIFICATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL PERMITS AND AUTHORIZATIONS. Dated February 15, 2024. Through this Law, Article 15 is added to Law No. 411 Organic Law of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic, through which it is established that The Attorney General’s Office of the Republic will grant Environmental Certification on the permits or authorizations that the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources (MARENA) issues in accordance with the classification established in Decree No. 20-2017 “Environmental Evaluation System of Permits and Authorizations for the Sustainable Use of Natural Resources”; environmental certification that is mandatory for the beneficiary to begin its works, under penalty of administrative, civil and criminal responsibilities. Through this Standard, the minimum share capital required for national banks or branches of foreign banks is updated to four hundred and twenty-eight million nine hundred and ninety-two thousand córdobas (C$428,992,000.00), said banks that at the entry into force of this standard have a capital minimum social capital, subscribed and paid, below what is established here, must pay it no later than seven calendar days after the next Ordinary General Shareholders’ Meeting. Through this Standard, the minimum share capital required for financial companies is updated to seventy million seven hundred and eighty-four thousand córdobas (C$70,784,000.00), which at the entry into force of this standard have a minimum share capital, subscribed and paid, below what is established here, must pay it no later than seven calendar days after the next Ordinary General Shareholders’ Meeting.
