Human trafficking in Nicaragua
Human trafficking is a violation of human rights that affects millions of people around the world, without distinction of race, sex, age, religion, nationality, economic status, etc. and unfortunately our country is not exempt from being affected by this problem. Therefore, in order to have an adequate legal framework to combat trafficking in persons, Nicaragua in 2015 approved Law 896, Law against Trafficking in Persons, which was published in La Gaceta Official Gazette No. 38 of 25 February 2015, this in accordance with the constitutional mandate that provides that no one should be subjected to servitude and slavery and trafficking of any nature, are prohibited in all its forms.
Legal aspects of the international assignment of employees in Nicaragua.
In this globalized world in which we live, it is very common for companies to send their employees from one country to another, either to work for a company within the same group or for another one. In this article we will explain, from the Nicaraguan law’s point of view, the legal aspects that companies should know when deciding the legal strategy to be used for the assignment of one or more employees being transferred to Nicaragua from another country.

Trademark Registration Process in Nicaragua
A trademark is any sign capable of distinguishing goods or services, that is not contrary, to the provisions of Article 7 and 8 of the Law of Trademarks and other Distinctive Signs. The Article includes a list of intrinsic reasons, such as lack of sufficient distinctive character for the product or service to which it applies such as; to be contrary to the law, public order, morality, or consist of the usual or common form of the product to which it applies or its packaging.
